What cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how www.prophius.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. It does not cover the merchant portal or the PayContactless app, which have their own notices.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so that it can recognise your browser on later visits. Similar technologies include local storage in your browser and pixels embedded in pages. In this policy we call all of them cookies.
3. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit the site a consent banner, provided by Ketch, asks whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Nothing other than strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose. You can change your choice at any time by opening the privacy preferences link in the footer of any page.
4. The cookies we use

These make the site work and record your consent choice. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics
These tell us how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and for how long, so that we can improve it. They are set only if you accept analytics cookies, and they identify your browser rather than you personally. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set.
Third-party content
Some pages embed content from other companies, which may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- The careers page loads our job board from BambooHR (prophius.bamboohr.com). BambooHR may set cookies needed to display and submit applications. See BambooHR's privacy policy.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google Fonts does not set cookies, but your browser sends its IP address to Google when the font files are fetched.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. How to control cookies
- Use the privacy preferences link in the footer to change your choice at any time.
- Set your browser to block or delete cookies. Browser help pages explain how; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. The version and effective date appear at the top.
